More Info

Yes, your injury can be assessed and managed online.

Many orthopaedic injuries can be assessed and managed effectively through a telehealth appointment, with the same specialist clinical decision-making and attention to detail you get from a traditional in-person consultation.

During your 20-30 minute appointment, an AVA Orthopaedics clinician will take a detailed injury history, review your symptoms and functional limitations, assess any available imaging, and determine whether further investigations are required.

Where imaging has been performed, scans are reviewed within an orthopaedic framework, with findings interpreted by orthopaedic specialists rather than relying solely on the radiology report.

Our goal is to answer the questions patients want answered early: What is the injury? What does it mean? Do I need surgery?

If surgery is likely to be required, this can be identified early, and a plan made to help arrange this. If surgery is not required, we provide a clear diagnosis and a structured management plan tailored to your injury and recovery goals.

What Happens Next?

The process is much like seeing an orthopaedic specialist in person, but with the convenience of a rapid appointment from wherever you are.
